Einleitung // Introduction

In den letzten Monaten durften wir eine Reihe an Videos für die Band „Van Deyk“ aus Hamburg produzieren. Für ein erfolgreiches Social Media Marketing ist regelmäßiger und qualitativ hochwertiger Content das A und O. Gerade Bewegtbild spielt dabei eine wichtige Rolle.

Over the last couple of month‘, we created a couple of videos for the German band ‚Van Deyk‚. Content is the most important factor in social media marketing and video has become the most important form of content.

EPK

Das aufwändigste und längste Video wurde das EPK („Electronic Press Kit“) für die im Februar 2017 veröffentlichte EP „Happy People“. Dafür wurden einen Tag lang Interviews mit der Band in den Fattoria Musica Studios, Osnabrück aufgenommen. In diesen Studios wurde auch die EP selbst sowie alle anderen Videos aufgenommen. Die Fattoria Musica ist ein fantastisches Studio, in dem wir immer wieder gerne arbeiten (z.B. hier, hier oder hier). Kombiniert mit ein paar älteren Aufnahmen und etwas Material von anderen Videografen enstand aus dem gesamten Material ein ziemlich tiefgründiges Video über die EP:

The most complex and longest of the videos is their EPK for the ‚Happy People‘ Ep. We recorded some interviews with at the Fattoria Musica Studios in Osnabrück, Germany, where all other videos and the EP itself were recorded. The Fattoria Musica is a great music studio, it’s always fun to work there (like this time, this time or that time). Combined with some footage by other people and older videos that we made, we created an in depth piece about the Happy People EP:

Da das EPK am Ende über zehn Minuten lang wurde, haben wir noch eine gekürzte Fassung geschnitten:

The EPK ended up being ten and a half minutes long, so we made a shorter three-minute edit as well:

Und natürlich gibt es bei so viel Material jede Menge Ausschuss, deswegen ist dabei auch noch ein witziges Outtakes Video entstanden:

And of course, things never go as planned in unscripted interviews, so we got more than enough footage for a pretty funny outtakes video:

Live aufnahmen // Live recording

Im Spätsommer 2016 haben wir außerdem ein Livekonzert von Van Deyk während den Fattoria Musica Open Days in Studio C mitgeschnitten. Aus dem etwa einstündigen Konzert, aufgenommen mit acht Kameras wurde bisher erst ein Song veröffentlicht, das fantastische „The Northern Tree“:

In late summer 2016 we recorded a live session at the Fattoria Musica Studio C during their ‚Open Days‘. The concert was well over one hour. It was a multi camera recording with eight cameras. So far, only one song got released, which is the beautiful ‚The Northern Tree‘:

Abschließend // Conclusion

Damit haben Van Deyk neun verschiedene Videos rund um die EP erhalten, mit denen sie in Social Media, Promotion und Booking stark punkten konnten. Die EP gibt es hier zu hören.
